That day I was alone the whole day. It was on Saturday, usually I would have band practice from the morning till afternoon. Unfortunately that day, band practice was cancelled the band room would not be open. My brother was at my grandmother's house with my mother and my father was working overseas as he is a pilot.
So my whole day was spent lying on the bed watching the television, I watched all the channels available including "Vasantham", which I did not ever liked before. I had never known there was so much you could learn from the television channels such as "Channel News Asia". they had culinary shows showing various ways of ways of cooking and different types of foods which I did not know of.
Overall I believe there is still much more in the television than I usually watch to a pass time. Maybe watching the television is not as bad as my parents presume it as, therefore I would continue to watch my other channels to enhance the breadth of my general knowledge. Hopefully it will teach me much more than I hope for.

VS 2h english compo(a problem you encountered and how you solved or managed it)
My wallet is lost
Yesterday I went for a meal with my seniors after band practice. We went to Parkway Parade and ate at McDonald's. My seniors ordered a burger set each, after I ordered my burger, I could not find my wallet. My mind was swirling with ideas of the consequences if someone found my wallet and did not return my ez-link card to the authorities. They could borrow as many books they want and if the books are overdue, all the fees would be billed to my account.I told my seniors, they paid for my burger first then we called the police to file in a police report. My seniors and I went around to find my wallet. We asked around for anyone who saw my wallet. It turned out to be a fruitful find as I found my wallet and the person who took it. Of course he denied the fact that he was the one who took it and of course none of us believed him. so I called the police to nab him and to cancel our report.
In the end all's well and ends well. The police interrogated him and found out he was a serial thief and had stolen over thousands of dollars. I found out that my seniors were really trustworthy people, at least I know I am mixing with the right people.

VS 2h english compo(something that took place in school)
Singapore Youth Festival Trials
I had been practicing in secondary 1 level for many different competitions and performances but nothing could compare to the Singapore Youth Festival(SYF).It has been my dream to take part in the SYF ever since I knew about it when I joined the Victoria School Concert Band(VSCB). I play the clarinet as a member of the band hoping to surpass my seniors in their skills in playing the clarinet.
We were told to practice as hard and as much as possible as they would give us an assessment on our choice piece "El Camino Real" composed by the famous composer Alfred Reed who composed many other pieces such as "Greensleeves".
Our Choice Piece
Greensleeves
We were using our last few minutes to practice our choice piece. I was first to undergo the trials. As i stepped into the room the low temperatures of the room chilled my pressurized body to the bone. I lifted my instrument up and started to play. After my turn, my other friends went in, after everyone had their trials, we had to wait for the results. I kept my fingers crossed hoping that I would pass the trials.
The results were out everyone was hoping that their name would be on the list. Luckily I saw my name on the list but many other people did not make it past the trials and were not allowed to play in the SYF.
Now I know that hard work really pays off, hopefully this would be a lesson to those who did not make it past to work harder in the future.

VS 2h english compo(something unusual that happened that day)
Friday 13th
On May 13, Friday, 2006, it was just another day in school, or at least i thought it was. That day i woke up at 6 as usual, brushed my teeth, ate my breakfast and went to school. I got to class, had morning assembly and got ready for the next class, geography.

During geography my mind was tired and lazy. I was so bored that i would rather run around the school field many times than listen to all this information about the Earth. Recess finally came, i ran out of my class with my PE shirt and my class ball with my classmate. We had so much fun playing with other people from other classes. Of course we had conceeded some goals here and there, but most important of all is that we had fun doing it."Ring", the bell went. Everyone ran to the toilets to change back to our uniforms. When the teacher came in, we greeted him and sat down when out of the blues,Isaac started exclaiming to the class "i lost my wallet!". The teacher told everyone to empty their bags and pockets. I started pouring the contents of my bag out. Everything looks familiar except for one thing, it was Isaac's wallet.
